Whilshire Credit Corporation dear god watch for your bank to sell your mortgage to whilshire-they are a debt collector and will steal your home! Portland Oregon
This report is about wilshire credit corporation -which IS a DEBT collection agency!!!! In 2006 I bought a home in indiana. My bank whom I purchased the home through was national city bank. I was at a high interest rate with a 2yr. pre-payment pen. I was able to make the payments for 2yrs, and then I was going to refinance. long story short I lost my job. Little did I know that national city was going to sell my loan to a dept collection agency!!! Hello? Is this ethical and or legal? They are unwilling to work with me and have just as of today given me a higher interest rate now at 10.25%. there is no way I can make a 1800.00 month payment for I am a single person. My payment went up 300.00 a month. Because of my job loss I had to file bankruptsy on certain things not my home or car. I've tried to keep up but they continualy add late charges and charges I don't even know what they are for.
Does anyone out there know what I can do or rather what can we do? This company has bought up high risk loans and then making so that we do lose our homes! Come on federal and local goverment what the hec are you doing letting these people profit unethicly, unhonestly, who owns this company anyway??? There has got to be something we can do. please respond if anyone has any ideas.... signed...ready to lose my home and thousands of dollorsalready lost!

I am tired of people bashing this company. It is all due to peoples lack of knowledge on how their mortgage works. First of all, When you get a loan it says in the contract that your loan can be transferred. It is nothing illegal and by the way, anyone you owe money to is a debt collector. I am sorry you had bad luck on losing your job but who's fault is that? I am not sure what fees you are speaking of but I know if I pay my mortgage late I am charged a late fee I also know if i fall behind which i have not but i read my contract and had my attorney look at it with me as well, that I am responsible to pay any fees incurred by the company such as property inspections, etc. It also is not the companies fault that your adjustable rate went up. You signed a contract that makes your adjustable rate go up. I do know of a lot of companies who are helping people so why dont you contact this company and try to get help instead of bashing them.
