I have been a customer of American Home Shield (AHS) since April 2008.  My first service call was June 2009 for my upstairs air condition unit.  American Home Shield is a bogus, lying, deceitful company.  They lie to consumers and take their money.  Their slogan "If we can't fix it, we will replace it" but what they don't tell you is "But we don't cover upgrades & modifications" they expect consumers to read the fine print or surprise them when they need the service.  American Home Shield has sent a technician out 10 times since my first service call with 3 different companies ( K&W Heating & Air, Oxford Heating & Air, and Eagle Heating and Air)@ $60 each service call for the same unit, same problem )(I had to take off work for each one of these service calls).  I also pay $42 month since April 2008.  All of the service call the techs kept saying all it need is Freon.  They add Freon and leave.  A month later AC out again.  Finally they send Eagle Heating & Air of Forest Park Georgia out (whose customer service is horrible) after I spoke with Matthew Boyd (Executive Assistant to CEO of AHS).  He calls me on Thursday, August 19th (after I called him 5 times) to tell me that Eagle will be out Tuesday to replace my Evaporator coils and someone will call me with the time.  End of call.....Eagle gets to my house on today August 24th and say I have to pay $1070 for upgrades & modifications.  Not one time after speaking to Matthew Boyd 5 times has he told me I had to pay this.   My problem is not with the HIDDEN small print that consumers dont read.My problem is you have been coming to my house since June 2009 for the same problem, racking up service fees and monthly bill amount , send several company to repair the same unit for the same thing.And the unit is still doing the same thing.  So I feel they have just pacified the problem and TOOK my money.   They claim they left a message on my home phone....LIE...I don't have an answering machine on my home phone, and they have never called me on the home phone always my cell phone.  I also about a year ago had some plumbing issues....OF Course they don't cover that either! They have lied to me and took my money and did nothing for me!  I want a refund of all my service fee and monthly fees for 2 years.

 

I want AHS to replace/repair my AC unit at NO cost to me, or refund all my money invested!

 

I WANT EVERYONE I KNOW, EVERY CONSUMER TO KNOW DO NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANYOR YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You are better off getting the repairs done yourself.
