I received a home warranty when I bought my house. It was through american home shield. Otherwise known as AHS. It has been a nightmare. Anything told to me by a worker over the phone could be trusted.
I called with a covered issue. They said someone was working on it and would call me in two hours. They didnt. I called back, they said no it is four hour call back. They got someone to work on problem.
Then a problem that was realized when the first problem was worked on needed to be dealt with. When I called I was told four hours to call me back. 7 hours later I called them. He said "oh , that was just a guide. They will work on it in the morning. Call by 10 if they havent called you. At 11 I called to be told, oh no one was going to call you. That you are supposed to call after 4 hours if no contractor hasnt called. The work in the computer wasnt even the right work.
In the end after three reps said I was covered, I am told I am not covered. That it is under an additional coverage that was not selected. I asked to speak to a supervisor. One was not even there. I have to wait up to 48 hours to have one call me.
