Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We purchased a $30,000.00 in-ground gunite pool from this company and it has been the most frustrating, underhanded experience of our life. Beware of the contract with this company. They use underhanded tactics to get out of giving you what you are owed. They promise to have your pool complete in 28 days, then contract for 30 and find ways to extend it to 3 months or more!! Their normal working days are Monday thru Saturday yet for completion sake they only credit Monday thru Friday - any rain day whether it interfered with their work schedule or not (and whether it rained in the middle of the night or not, as little as .02 inches are excluded also from the schedule. Therefore even though they "claim" to reimburse $100.00 for every day over 30, this is unlikely to happen. In our case we have proof that they worked on our property on a day they claim as a rain day.

This company will also come up with creative ways to extract more money out of you despite being contracted for a set price. For instance, they hit ledge in our site, we not only had to pay an additional $800.00 to have the ledge removed (fair enough) but now they want to charge an extra $330.00 for staff that supervised this despite the fact that they cut the original work day short because of the ledge. Their contract states that they are to provide you with a written estimate of any additional costs for work prior to doing the work and they will not do this.

The completion of the pool is considered done when the pool is plastered. You would expect at this point that the electrical, plumbing and detail would be delivered. WRONG!! Our pool was plastered prior to the electrical being hooked up, the light being installed and any of the accessories being delivered. Yet, we were expected to make final payment to the company without confirming final satisfaction of the finished product.

They regularly overlook details and not show up for scheduled work days and make no apologies for this. They will avoid and not return calls if you try to contact them with complaints. They make idle promises and not follow through on them just to appease you for the moment. The staff her were extremely unprofessional and even insulting at times. They would have no problem telling us they were too busy to speak to us, despite the fact that we were a paying customer.

The work staff would behave very unprofessionally when they were on-site, often arguing using colorful language and leaving the site a mess when finished. When we complained about this, we were told that this was the mentality of the workers and that's ok.

The electrician that worked for them caused damage to our electrical circuits in the house. It has been over 3 weeks and we are still unable to get anyone to acknowledge this or return our calls to have the problem fixed. Our pool construction was started on July 31st. It is now October 25th and we are still not finished dealing with this company. Our pool cover was not ordered and therefore not delivered. Our pool remains open still. It is cold and the leaves are falling in the Northeast of the USA, this means that we have a lot of additional work to maintain the pool and soon the temperatures will be dropping below freezing possibly causing damage. Still we have no commitment for closure of the pool.

We also made a deal to have extra decking complete in exchange for the heater we opted not to purchase. Although it was agreed verbally to make this an even exchange with the sales rep, they are now trying to charge us extra for this as well.

We have consistently complained to the company and they refuse to do anything to make ammends for their negligence, poor attitude, errors and schedule delays.

So, if you are looking for a dream pool and want to have a great experience having it installed - DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE THIS SERVICE FROM AQUATIME POOLS IN TYNGSBORO MASSACHUSETTS. They are not proving to be capable of treating their customers professionally.
