Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Well, earlier today May 19th my cell phone rang with a woman's voice claiming I had emailed in a request for a trip to Florida including a cruise to the Bahamas. It immediately set alarm bells off as I did not remember ever sending such an email or entering any such contest. She began to explain how I had 18 months to use the trip. I explained (by this point was feeling this out for legitimacy) that 18 months would not be good for me she then continued to tell me I could extend the offer for an additional year.

She did not give me a lot of time to say anything. I asked her what the catch was and she said "oh there is no catch" my father taught me if something sounds too good to be true it probably is. They told me for 4 people to travel it would be about $199 per person and that we need to make our way from canada to Orlando where our trip would be waiting for us. I have never heard of any trip you win that you would pay your own airfare for.

She then passed my call to a man who said he would have my tickets sent out to me by courier and that someone 21 or older could sign for them (again the age of consent in Ontario is 18 so that seemed puzzling).

He then told me that I would have my tickets in 4 business days but first they needed to secure the money via credit card. I told him that I do not give my credit card number to anyone on the phone especially a company who finds it necassary to have their phone number blocked from caller id. He said he could verify my information i said it is so easy to get information.

He suggested i look at the websit astar.us so as I logged in got redirected to this website for ripoffs. I started reading the report to the man on the phone and when I got to the part about them debiting a credit card numerous times and that the company is a scam...surprisingly the man hung up.

Thanks to this website I wasn't duped..probably wouldn't have been anyways as I have a strict policy to never give out my credit card number on the phone.

you do not listen to what is being told to you, that is why you think our company is a scam

My name is Brandy and I have worked for Astar for almost a year now, before this job I was in the military. I did six tours to the Middle East defending this country and now I sell discounted holidays to people in other countries to help boost our economy. The reason you people think that this is a scam is because you do not listen to what you are being told. You hear only what you want to hear. This is a great holiday to take for anybody. If we were just trying to scam you we would include airfare, tell you the trip was free, and all we needed your credit card information for was for shipping and handling. That is not the case. A: we DO NOT include air-fare, B: this holiday IS NOT FREE, it is HIGHLY discounted, C: you MUST take a timeshare tour while in Orlando but you do not have to invest if you do not want to, D: the promotional fee will be charged TODAY to your card. If you will notice, most of the people that have written on this website DID NOT take the holiday and if they did give their information they did not allow us enough time to send them there vouchers in the mail before they flipped out and wanted to cancel. I have taken the holiday that we sell and it was the most fun I have ever had. Our company pays us through Bank of America and we do have a merchant account with both Visa and Mastercard. If we did not have that we would not be able to secure the promotional amount in a matter of seconds. Use your heads and stop believing everything you read on the internet. If you don't want us to call you then DO NOT FILL OUT THE FORM AND ASK US TO CALL YOU!!!!! Yes some of our EX-employees did lie so they could make the sell but or owner has and will fire them and any one who lies to our customers. All of our calls are monitered so if you are lied to that employee will be fired. This is a GREAT holiday and is worth every penny of the promotional fee.
