AVAS FLOWERS MAHWAH NJ Scam company never delivers flowers and refused to refund us 100% MAHWAH New Jersey
My wife ordered flowers for her mother on 3/12 for her mother's birthday on 3/13 with a delivery date of 3/13. The company in question charged our credit card and then never delivered the flowers. On 3/14 after the recipient didn't receive any flowers, we called Ava's Flowers again to request immediate delivery. The company did not comply with the request and did not deliver the flowers that had been paid for. My wife called again on 3/15 to ask for a refund. The company stated at 12:30pn that the "flowers were being cut and put on a delivery truck to be delivered" and that they refused to refund our money. By 6pm on 3/15, the flowers were not delivered so my wife called Ava's again to report this and ask the status of the delivery since our credit card was charged. The supervisor said the order had been cancelled, that only a 50% refund would be issued to us, and that nobody else was available to discuss the complaint as "everybody in the office was on vacation". We told them we would be blocking this transaction on our credit card and also reporting them to the better business bureau which we have done. When we told Ava's that we were going to do this, they said "You go right on ahead". This company is a scam artist - there is an entire facebook page and similar reports on ripoff report from google searches. They need to be shut down - fortunately this was only 50 bucks for a birthday but I can imagine folks are using them to send larger orders for funerals, etc. Hopefully something can be done to expose them.
