When my mother died on August 31, 2003, Fingerhut/Axsys National Bank started taking $100.00 a month from her surviving spouse's, my 81 year old step dad's, bank account for a non-existant bill that they can't, or won't furnish anyone information about.

We have tried e-mailing, calling on the phone and writing this company to get information about on why they started taking money from my step-dad's bank account (which was joint with my mother befor her death) as of Sept 10th with no billing information about or no explaination of why. Now my sep-dad's bank says that the only way to stop them is to close this acoount that he has had for over 30 years to stop them.

We have not been able to find any record of any bill that my mother would owe them nor can they give us any information of any bill that my mother owes. Somehow they were given my mother and step dads bank account number and they continue taking money out of it starting right after she died.
