Robin, You can send the CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request immediately after the first contact. Send it right away. Do not take any calls from them. EVER.

So far as number 2, my son had the same idea. Only he said a blowhorn..LOL! So far as the cease communications letter, they have never once told me who I owe or how much. Every time I call them we get into a shouting match right off and they hang up. The only thing I have done so far and I regret this SO much, is tell them my name when I called one time. So I don't think I can send that yet. Or at all. Thank you for your help. I will not speak to him again.

Robin, First of all, understand that the "Do Not Call" registry only applies to commercial telemarketers. Boyajain is not a telemarketer. He is a debt collector, and of the worst kind. A junk debt buyer. 1. Call the phone company and tell them you are getting threatening and harassing calls by an unknown party....They will change your phone# for FREE...Just be sure to get an unlisted one this time! 2. Get a police whistle, and blow it very hard in the ear of the crackhead calling you.. All of Jackie's punks are drug addicts, alcoholics and felons. 3. Send the CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request as specified in the prior post. 4. File an FTC complaint online at FTC.gov. 5. Take a few minutes to read and print out the FDCPA and the FCRA while at the FTC site. These acts explain your rights as a debtor. 6. File a Bar Association complaint as he is operating illegally and unethically. CA is the only state he is licensed to practice law [barely]. 7. He hold no law license or collectors license in NJ where he operates, or any other state but CA. Therefore he is operating illegally. 8. NEVER speak to any collector on the phone. Have fun.

I have been getting harassing phone calls from these idiots for about 4 months now. Each time I return the call it's someone who is very rude and snotty. I tried calling my local phone company to see if they could block the number, but since it's an 800# it can't be blocked. The only thing I could do was file a complaint with the DNC registry. I dont' think that will help though. Does anyone have ANY suggestions as to how to get these goofs to leave us alone and stop calling? My son suggested getting an air horn and when they call stick it into the phone and BLARE it in their ears...LOL!!

--sends threatening letters for non-existent (Verizon)/time-barred debts, --has main office in NJ where he's not licensed to practice law or collect debts, --website lists lawyers in his employ that don't exist, --website and letters list branch offices around the US that don't exist, --employs ex-cons and drug/alcohol addicts as "collection specialists", --threatens a newspaper with a libel/slander suit for printing FACTS straight from state attorneys general To my knowledge, no one here has responded that they actually received written validation of debt from Boyajian upon request. After a nasty letter and repeated rude conversations from his "specialists", they have yet to provide me any proof that I incurred unpaid debts. Ditto for the others here. Rather than argue with his toadies over the phone (let's face it, debating with an idiot gets you nowhere), I sit by my mailbox in anticipation of his communication. Don't keep me waiting, Jackie.
