After leaving church me and my daughter end up at Car Spa. I have never taking my minivan to a place where they wash your car for you. So I thought I am going to get the best. So I go to the counter and explain this young man is my first time there etc. After explaining to him very clearly I wanted my carpets very clean, he suggested I get the number 2. Which is a Full service where they shampoo the carpets. I explained that my seats where leather so my interest was the minivan to get washed outside, inside very well, shampoo.

Well after reasurring me that yes the 39.99 I was going to pay included the car was going to get the exterior wash as well. So i take my minivan to the line that says Full Service I explained to the attendant what I wanted again. He gives me a ticket and I park the van and go inside and paid my 39.99. The cashier told me when I asked how long it was going to take he said about an hour. I returned an hour later, my van it's parked in front where he said it was going to be. The tires where shining, but when I got closer the van did not looked like it had been washed outside. Worst I checked the carpets still no Shampoo it looked like they picked up a little bit but the carpets where still just like before no signs of shampoo or nothing.

I got upset I walk straight inside and I tell the cashier what happened this youngman was so unconcerned with what I was saying. He talks to another young guy who his attitude was one of well maam I just got here and he walks away. Now I am all nervous because I just blew 39.99. When I see the same young man I asked who is going to take care of this, very disinterested he says 'My manager didn;t have me in the clock I can detail your van now. I saw how this other customers where waiting for their cars in the waiting area their cars where being worked on. I said I waited for an hour the time they gave me and now you are telling me you are going to start.

Rememeber my minivan was parked in the spot the cashier said it was going to be when it was all done. I asked for the manager and this youngman who has to be may be 20 talks very briefly with the youngman who was going to clean it and walks away. So I called him I motion with my hand for him to come to me. By then I am so frustrated. I asked both how much do you get paid 7 or 8 dollars an hour? They started laughing a little bit like they couldn't believe my question. My point was like I told them it is hard to make 40 dollars, I paid I asked for something I got Ripped off.

So the manager tells me they can start at that time the detailing. The young man who was going to clean it haf told me they had lost the ticket and that's why they didn;t clean it. I asked why did you treat it me like that. I am Hispanic my complexion says it all, I asked is it because I am hispanic? The young ma laughed in my face. My point all of the other customers where mostly white. I demanded a refund which the manager gave me. Before leaving I said I was told an hour I pay I come back and you are giving me that van like that. I asked for the General managers name. The manager point it to the wall the 800 number was there.

I left very disgusted before leaving under the frustration I said under my breath this is what happens when you come to a place full of youngkids. The manager said , What maam? I said louder. Not to offend the youngkids who truly are responsible. But the way they treat it me at least is inexcusable. I do not recommend this place to anybody.

Synthetic Oil Change

All we did for this customer was an oil change. Their "mechanic" said that because we put synthetic oil in the car, which the customer approved, all the sludge in the motor became loosened and got stuck in the engine rings causing the car to blow white smoke. Please google "myths about synthetic oil". You will see that just simply putting synthetic oil in the engine could not cause this problem. We at Car Spa use Name brand oil products from industry leaders and follow all safety procedures and guidlines common in the auto service industry. Synthetic is simply a better product that protects your engine better and lasts longer than conventional oil. The problems this car had were becuase it had over 150,000 miles on it, not because car spa put synthetic oil in the car.

Auto Spa ruined my engine

I took my car to Car Spar on Holland road in Virginia Beach in June of 2001 for a routine oil change and wash. 2 days my oil change my vehicle would not start, the vehicle would occasionally stay running for a short period of time before stalling out and would blow white smoke. After being diagnosed by my mechanic he stated that the oil change was not done properly and they left a build up that caused my oil rings to become stuck. I called auto spa and spoke with Mike the manager first he said he could not do anything till the following day. After I stated this is my only vehical and is not running I need some answers today he stated he would speak to my mechanic and call me back. after an hour he returned my call and stated that my mechanic told him everything and that he did not feel they were responsible that they use the same oil in every car and there is nothing he can do and he can't get ahold of his VP. I am now seeking legal and media action to handle this! Do not go to Auto Spa they will destroy your engine and leave you with the bill! If I have been told by several machanics that if the rings can not be fixed I will have to replace my engine!

We Here at Car Spa work very hard to provide the best experience possible for every customer. The ticket that describes the services to be done to the vehicle was lost and caused a delay in the cleaning of the vehicle. The vehicles are cleand in the order we recieve them. Gender , race or any other factors to not determine the way we treat our customers. We appreciate all of our customers and work very hard to win their repeat business. We did refund this customers full amount when she wasn't satisfied with the service. We wash, lube and deatil thousands of cars every month and have thousands of repeat customers. We hope you will be one too.

I have been a customer of Car-Spa for five years. I have experienced nothing but excellent service from them. The staff is courteous and the prices very competitive. The two instances where they found something amiss with my vehicle, they came to me immediately to report the problem. These instances were with vehicle condition and not staff error. The wash and clean services at Car-Spa have been excellent. Perhaps this lady was expecting hand wash quality from a machine. I would recommend Car-Spa's services to anyone who wants good value for their money. I will continue to patronize Car-Spa for the forseeable future.
