Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
1. I started with Cricket last summer to try and save money. Bottom line, I have lost money when you figure in time and inconvenience. I started with the 60 month package which claims to have 120 min. of roaming "included". It claims to have nationwide coverage and unlimited nationwide texting.

In six months of service I have yet to automatically receive my roaming minutes at the start of a new billing cycle. I have to call and spend 30 minutes minimum convincing them that *228 is as usless as their company and they simply need to put the roaming minutes I was suppose to get automatically in the new billing cycle, on my account. I have demanded for them to open a ticket specifically with the US technical team in charge of the billing systems. They always say, sure, but never do.

2. My phone goes into roaming when I am in what they plainly advertise as a local service area. Even in my home town where I bought the d**n phone!

3. As of about 2 weeks ago, I can not send text message AT ALL when in roaming. This has always worked, always, since day one. My ex wife is also having this problem so its a system wide or at least regional issue. They said what they did while on the phone would fix it, IT DID NOT.

4. Their customer service people are not Americans, at least that is my guess. This one is just a personal gripe.

I want to know what I or WE can do about this company who is not only providing terrible service, but I think they are advertising things that the are plainly not providing.

I hope I can help with your situation if you are still experiencing issues. In Oregon Cricket has a localized service center with reps to help Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. The email address is [email protected] please feel free to call it or to call one of our store numbers and press 4 to speak with one of the local representatives. The can also explain what is happening with the texting while roaming. Also just so their aren't any misunderstanding out there. Cricket owns all of it's own tower equipment. It is a very common practice in the industry to rent space on other carrier towers. In doing so companies are not only saving money, but they are lowering the impact on the environment and neighborhoods. I hope this response helps and that we can help resolve some issues.

cricket not real wireless company

something most of us do not realize ( at first) is cricket is not a real wireless company ( they dont have their own cell towers, infastructure, ect) they just sell time on other "real" companies systems. best deal I have found is tmobile prepaid. got a sim card with $30 time on it for under $5 and put another $70 on it to reach their "gold plan" now the phone ( any phone that will take the sim card) will work for a year, I have 1000 nation wide minutes ( 10 cents a minute) no monthly fee. if I add more time the sim card stays active for a year from the date I add more time real bargin for someone that does not burn up minutes.
