1. You may not get what you think you are getting after you recieve your first statement.

2. They sugjest you review your first statement carefully. However they don't tell you that it takes 45 days to get your first statement. It will then be past the 21 day return policy and you will be stuck with it and credit terms you didn't agree to.

Consumers allege experiencing confusion with the special promotions and offers for features of the Dell Preferred Account. Consumers should note that applying for Dell Preferred Account does not guarantee their qualification for special promotions or offers, i.e. low interest rates or no interest for 90 days. Consumers may be offered a Dell Preferred Account without any special promotions or offers. Annual Percentage Rate, credit limit, and special promotions and offers vary for each customer, depending on their credit history and Dell Financial's underwriting criteria. Consumers should carefully review the terms and conditions contained in the Dell Preferred Account credit agreement, as soon as they receive it. If consumers choose not to accept these terms and conditions, they must recontact Dell Inc., within 24 hours of receipt of credit agreement using the number provided, and either cancel the Dell order or arrange for another method of payment.

It is important to fully understand the Next-Day/In-Home service warranty offered by the company. A technician will be dispatched if necessary only following phone-based troubleshooting. To receive next business-day service, Dell must notify the service provider before 5 PM (depending on service contract) customer time. Also, according to the company, the warranty does not cover software, including the operating system and software added to the Dell-branded hardware products through their factory-integration system, third-party software, or the reloading of software. Non-Dell branded and Solution Provider Direct products and accessories, products with missing or altered service tags or serial numbers, or products for which payment has not been received are also not covered under the warranty. Before you return a system for repairs it is important to back up any data on the system. The company is not responsible for any lost or corrupted data.
