I had an extended warranty that expired on 28 May 2009. Three weeks prior the dealership found a leak but was uncertain where it was coming from. They suspected the transmission but had to stick a dye in the fluid to find it. I then had to drive it around for a few weeks (it was a really slow leak). The dealership scheduled for replacing the rear seal (covered under the warranty) the second week of June so they could give me a loaner. The dealership stated as long as the condition can be shown that it started "prior" to the expiration date of the warranty then it would be covered. When the dealership notified First Extended they initially had no problem with it. Then when the charges were placed they totally backed out and said they won't cover it because the maintenance took place after the expiration date. The dealership faxed over the documents and went round and round with the supervisor to no end. We asked to pull the "recording for better customer service" so they could here the first recording between the dealership and company and they stated "that would be too difficult". I finally agree to continue the repairs (it had to be fixed) and two hours after they installed the transmission, the company called and stated "we'll work with you but we're going to send out an adjuster". Well, the car was already put back together! So, they denied coverage. I even tried to call and get some logic from this company but they are not for the customer, are deceitful, cunning and not an honorable company.
