GAVIN NEWMAN Gavin Newman scammed my father into borrowing money from family members to finance his non existent court case. santa fe New Mexico
Its been about 4 years now since Gavin Newman stepped into the lives of my father myself and other members of my family. I live 1500 miles from my father's home so I can not be on top of situations he is in. He is 78 yrs old. Fit and I thought he was of sound mind... On top of that I had just survived a deathly car crash, living in Florida, and settled a large lawsuit with the insurance company. Put a pin in that.. In New Mexico, My Dad meets Gavin Newman... Gavin sees my dad as a target, an old man with no family around him to see after his interests... He approaches my dad with the sad, Made Up story of his about how Bank of America screwed him over with a property deal.
He goes on to tell my father that he is sueing them and winning! He just needs more money to pay the layers! He produces false documets and has people call my dad portraying lawyers to discuss the case and guarantee its real.. He guarantees Dad a return of TEN times what ever he can help him pay the lawyers to finish this case! My father gives him THOUSANDS of dollars... And borrows THOUSANDS from realatives,,, its still unclear to me exactly how much but my once well off father is now broke... Ayway, I am unknowing of this going on as I am recovering from my accident. Then dad calls me.. He tells me about this friend of his who needs our help and he will pay us back 10 fold because he is winning MILLIONS!! And it will be paid back in just 2 months!! I sent him my Last $20,000.00 from my settlement from the accident..
Since that day 4 years ago this Gavin still has my father in his grasp. continually telling him that the case is done but there is a hold up with the pay off money... Almost weekly asking for more money and making promises... He even made my dad sign a non disclosure agreement! So the poor old man is affraid to call the FBI on this piece of SH*. He is affraid to chance losing the non existent money.... I don't know what else to do about this or where else to turn for help.
