I went to JD Byrider to establish credit in my name. First of all, SHAME ON ME for not researching this company. If I would have known then what i know now "I would have never gone to them"!

I was trading in my 2004 Ford Focus that had 71,000 miles and figured that would take care of any down payment that was needed since the car was paid off. Boy, was I wrong~ dead wrong!

I ended up with a 2001 Pt Cruiser with 74,580 miles. I have to admit that the vehicle looked cool with a sun roof and all and when i took it for a test drive it started to overheat. That should have been my first clue that the car was a piece of crap. When i took it back to the salesman he assured me that the car was just filled with all the "necessary" fluids and some must have spilled causing the smoke and overheating.

I was supposibly given 4200 for my trade-in and financed 8000 plus i had to pay an additional 600 for a "down payment". So lets face it i basically put down 4800 on a car that was worth only 3200! I did not have the car but a week and it blew a head gasket!

I have had this car in JD Byriders shop for more times than i can count for numerous problems. They supposibly "fixed" the heater 3 times alone but of course it still doesn't work. This last time my car was in the shop was for the car losing power and a popping~rubbing sound when i apply the brakes.

I stressed the fact about the brakes and was assured by their mechanics manager that the brakes would be looked at. I picked up my car a few days later and as i was on a major interstate the brakes started to make that popping~rubbing sound. When i arrived home I immediately called the manager and was told this "well, we didn't drive the vehicle but we looked at the brake pads and they appear fine". To make matters even worse~ there are 4 recalls on this car and if they would have ran the VIN# they would have seen the recalls. I am fed up with these circus clowns and let me warn potential buyers this : CNAC (the finance company with JD Byrider) will call and harrass everyone on your reference list if you are 2 days late!
