I am writing this because I used the email address in the previous post, [email protected], to contact Wellman about the money he owed me. I was very hopeful that I, too, would get my money back, but the very swift reply left me with the feeling that I never will.

The problem began on January 26 2009, when I received an email from another marketer, Russell Brunson, offering a product called Do You Suck at Making Money for "free" with a charge of $9.97 for shipping.

In a separate email, Keith Wellman wrote, "Grab the "suck at making money" kit for $0 plus the S/H fee (I'll refund up to $10 for shipping and handling - YES THIS MEANS YOU PAY NOTHING ZERO, ZILTCH, NOT 1 DIME ;) from the link below right now..."

He included other bonuses, but I clicked on his link because of the free shipping. I wrote to Wellman with the information about my order. I got back an email from Erica, of FX Marketing Inc & Keith Wellman's Support Team, saying, "I am not showing your order in our sytem. However, I can credit your Pay Pal account for the refund. I will just need your Pay Pal email address."

I was dismayed that they didn't have my order. It hadn't occurred to me that anything like that would happen, but Erica had agreed in writing to refund the shipping, so everything seemed to be on course.

Since then I have received other email from Erica in response to my reminders over the last five weeks that my PayPal account has received no money from them. Another email said, "I apologize about the delay in your S&H refund. I will check on the status of this. If you do not see this in your Pay Pal account by the end of the weekend, please let me know."

Her latest email, sent February 23, was the only one that sounded less hopeful: "I have forwarded this back to our bookkeeper." I have written to her and justaskkeith.com since then with no answer.

My email to Keith tonight was mostly friendly but did remind him, "As you know, there are many sites with many posters saying you have scammed them. It is not good enough to blame it on an employee and then continue the same shoddy practices."

Here is his complete non-reply:

"Right now I am going through a personal situation that requires 100%

of my attention. I DO NOT have the time to deal with promotions and writing emails for promotions. You would certainly understand why if you knew the situation.

==>>If you would like me to promote please do the following:

1- Reply with the exact date and time for the email to go out

2- In that email make sure you give me a pre-written promo email that I can copy and paste into my autoresponder

That's it. Because I don't have the time to look at what I'm promoting, I will only promote for the close people I know and work with and I will not promote lead generators.

Thanks you for your understanding, this situation is temporary and I hope to have it worked out in the next few weeks. If you need anything else to include support please use the supportdesk at http://www.justaskkeith.com

After I found Keith Wellman's personal email address, [email protected], here at Ripoff Report last night, I wrote to him with great hopes that I'd get back the $9.97 shipping refund Keith had promised people who bought another marketer's product through his link. His form letter response--which had nothing to do with my issue--was a huge disappointment. This morning, several hours after I published my problem on this site, I found an email from Keith that answered my question directly: "We sent out several hundred checks. This is the first I heard that you didn't get yours. I am forwarding this to my accountant so that she can get it out to you." Better yet, I got an email from PayPal, sent 70 minutes after Keith's, that my $9.97 had been paid. I checked my account, and the money is there. Did he pay me because I wrote to him directly? Or because I posted at ripoffreport.com? I'll never know, but the combination worked.
