Hi, I was ripped of by Merchants Credit guide also for over 1000 dollars. I am in the process of doing the following: 1. Filing a complaint with my state's Attorney General. 2. Filing a complaint with Chicago's AG (which I was told by the woman on the phone there that they already have around 150 complaints about MCG. 3. Filing a complaint with the Postal Inspectors of MA and of Chicago. 4. I have also been to my local police station and I have already been to my county's court house. The clerk Magistrate called MCG and told my "representative" that he has one week to get me my paid in full letter and if it didn't come then I could file a complaint. 5. I also checked with the state of Chicago to see if MCG was a liscenced creditor in Illinois. They found no MCG with the W. Jackson Blv. address. Only one in another part of Illinois. I called that MCG and they said they are not related to that the MCG in Chicago, but they get calls about it all the time. 6. I have also contacted my local news station and they are investigating this situation to see if MCG is a lagitiment company. I hope we start getting some answers about who they are and if they are licensed to do this!
