Merchants Credit Guide Co. ripoff Chicago Illinois
I received a letter in the mail stating I owed a Chase Mahattan Bank the sum of $303.39 I could not beleive my eyes I have never had and account with this bank. I called the number listed on the form and spoke to a gentlemen that preceeded to tell me that I owed this money for a Visa Card ( now get this one) dating back to 1986. I proceed to tell this gentlemen that I never owened a credit card no less a visa one. I asked him for the credit card numbers to which he quoted them to me. Asked him what I had purchased after a few stumbling words he could not tell me. To my anger I hung up the phone.
After I gained my composure I called a lawyer but to no avail I deceided to search the web for this company. First I punched in Ravinia/CFB Holdings LLC because this is the name of the client and came up empty,then I deceided to go to Merchants Credit Guide Co. and lo and behold I found out it is a rip off I have gone to my local police station to report this so no one else will go through what I have been through and tommorrow I will report them to the better business bureau because I have A1 credit
