I have been with metro pcs for years.I have the S3 4G LTE on the $40 plan. I payed my bill on time, to be honest a head of time. I never had any major issues with them up until 12/30/13. I received a text message at 4:22 PM , stating " Your usage of MetroPcs Services is in violation of the terms and conditions and has been terminated effective immediately. I couldn't go to an actually store because I was at work, So I got in contact with customer service. The first couple of times I tried calling I got hung up on. When I finally got in touch with someone ,they couldn't give me a valid reason why my phone has been terminated and told me to email them.   I sent an email stating my information and the problem I had. I didn't receive an email back that day, so I decided to go to an actually store the next day, to see what was the problem. The people at the store had no idea, they had to contact customer service to tell me the same thing I already knew. I had no choice but to wait for the email at that point. I finally received an email back later that day stating that,  " Your phone usage has been identified as abnormally excessive, and indicative of disruptive usage pattern violating MetroPCS’ Terms and Conditions of Service.  Based on your prior usage, your Service has been terminated. " I thought MetroPcs was unlimited?  How is that possible? The sad part about it is, I tried going to a different company to put the s3 on it and my ESN is reported stolen . So basically Metro cut my phone off in the middle of a pay cycle and reported the phone that bought with my hard earned money STOLEN!!!!  They are not truly unlimited.

To call someone a liar, when indeed you have no idea what happened in this situation. So your assumptions are making you like a child indeed.  It's funny how you are talking about something you have no clue about . You must work for Metro Pcs. Thanks for your rebuttal.

False advertisement

This is false advertisement. I'm assuming since they think I went over my "limit" on an unlimited plan, they have the right to report the Esn on my phone stolen?

Unlimited doesnt mean that you can do whatever you wish. If you downloaded an app that allows you to use your phone as a hotspot, that would be a violation. If you were streaming excessive amounts of movies, thats a violation. Unlimited means NORMAL unlimited use. Anything else that you do with your phone that isnt talking, texting, or surfing is normally against the ToS. They wouldnt JUST cut off your service, so there is MORE to your story that you are leaving out. Some nice little tidbit of information that proves MPCS is right.

You are doing what EVERYOTHER American COnsumer does, youre playing the victim. Metro DOESNT know WHO you are. YOU are just an account with a phone number. All they do is go off of WHAT you do with your phone. You have to understand that UNLIMITED doesnt mean PERFECTLY UNLIMITED. There are ALWAYS addendum and fine print that YOU the consumer NEVER reads. Then when something like this happens, YOU try and place the blame on the company. Well Metro IS NOT the one who uses the phone, thats all on you.

If you were ABUSING the system, then they are going to cut you off and make sure you cant do it to them again. This situation is of YOUR OWN DOING. You have no one to blame BUT yourself. Perhaps you need to address whatever it was that you were doing to abuse the unlimited data. THATS the real problem. Blasting Metro because THEY wouldnt let you just use however much data is just sour grapes on your part. Since THEY screwed you out of service and a phone, you feel its perfectly ok to make a anon post bashing them and basically lieing about them because they hurt you. Thats the actions of a child. YOU are supposed to be an adult. Adults have the privilage and responsibility of being able to own up to their mistakes and make them right.
