Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Be warned!!! We have had a 3 year history with this company. We had them charge old accounts that caused us NSF fees. After we called and gave them up to date information. They keep all old accounts according to the represetitive I spoke to.

Anyway, in a 3 year time period we had to get a service call. We was told that we would have to pay the technicians $25 for a trip fee. My wife paid the technicians on their second visit as they weren't prepared on the first trip. Many weeks went by and I got a call that we owed Northstar $25 for a trip fee. My wife and I explained that she paid the techs when they left on the second trip. The Northstar representitive told us that it sometimes takes awhile for the money to get back to them.

Many weeks later we get another call about the same $25. Once again, it was explained to the same lady (I wish I could remember her name) that it was paid. At this point it is more like a scheme. If it was really Northstar why didn't they just ask if they could charge our credit card on account? The lady on the phone wanted me to give her a credit card to pay the bill. Why? you already had it, if you are legite.

Anyway, as of today 08/11/2009 my wife found out her credit score dropped 40 points!!!! Anyone of you that keep up on the importance of your credit knows how bad this is! Northstar put on her credit (which they were never given authorization to access PERIOD) a 120 day late.

Never once had any written notices been sent to us showing us what they had. I don't know about many of you but I don't give my information to anyone over the phone. Maybe this company is just clueless, lacking in common sense, and an over all disregard for people and the laws.

Making the problem worse!!!

After getting in contact with the BBB the company finally responsed. In the response the company representitive admitted that the damage to my wife's credit was not correct. She then writes that the credit bureaus would be notified. Well, they was, and now my wife has an "installment loan" on her credit. She also refuses to end my contract as she states that it was not prior to my 60 day notice requirement. As my faxes I sent them states this was my second request to end the contract. My wife mailed them a notice to cancel the contract in May of 2009 after a person from the company called about a $25.00 bill that my wife paid to a service company. ( I put that a request was faxed to them originally).

Anyway, here is some more information that I disclosed to them upon them denying to end the contract. My wife is disabled with mental issues and was home alone when the sales person stopped by. It appears that he pressured a person that has difficulties into signing a 3 year contract that is way over priced!!

It's truly sad to see a company take advantage of people in a time that money is tight and people are losing their homes everyday. I would close the door quickly when a sales person comes to the door from Northstar!!! Just read the other nightmares people have had on this website. I know I am going to continue pushing the message in hopes of saving some other person this type of trouble!!
