First let us say that we are sorry PDS has struck you too. We really wish you didn't agree to pay them $400. They still took you for a ride. I'll explain; the charge you recieved was PDS (Precision Door Service), famous "Overhaul" charge. Which means they charged you for numerous items you didn't need and probably wouldn't need for years to come. What were you charged for? If the drums, they tampered with them. If you see the original drum, you'll see that the small squarish piece on the side has been broke off. Well, this won't hurt the drum itself, but they break it to make it look broke to a homeowner. If your springs weren't streched or broke, they didn't need replaced. And if they installed roller on your door, they installed THEIR rollers which, no matter what they tell you, will not last the amount of time other rollers do. Instead of lasting, say, 6 years, you'll be lucky if they last half that. Also, did you get their lifetime or 10 year warranty. It's bull. When you call them to fix something on the warranty, they will charge you for that piece and, again, tell you this and that needs replaced. They will claim that you either didn't take the proper care of the piece(s) or damaged it yourself. If you read the small writting on the warranty, they expect you to call them out every 6 months for for service, no one does that because it is not needed, therefor making the waranty void. You might want to reconsider and have a reputable company check the door and parts out. Good luck!
