Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had a horrible experience with Region on a long-distance move. The movers themselves were fine, polite, nice - but the staff who answer emails/phones are unresponsive, and their broker was a jerk. The worst thing about pickup was EVERYTHING except that the moving guys themselves were polite. I was told I'd get a call the day before my pickup to schedule a time. I never heard from them, so I called them that afternoon, and learned my pickup had been pushed back a day. When the broker showed up (after the end of the pickup window and before the movers appeared), he insulted the movers behind their backs. He also told me I owed $400 more than expected, though I was able to get him down to $200 over the quote. No one from the company told me I needed a money order and I didn't have checks on hand (plus I allegedly owed an extra $200), so the broker put me IN HIS CAR and drove me to a grocery store to pick one up. I'm a 24-year old woman. I was completely intimidated, felt like I had no choice, and felt very unsafe. I don't think he trusted me to take my own car and come back with the money. The movers who picked up my things were not provided with any kind of moving supplies other than tape & plastic wrap (no insulating blankets or other padding). I was promised multiple times that my furniture, which was being stored at their facility for 4 weeks before delivery, would be wrapped before transport, but it never happened. My furniture arrived still unpadded, and a bunch of pieces were damaged. I'm talking scratches, pieces of wood broken off, bent table legs. All things that should have been easily avoidable with proper supplies. I was given less than 24 hours notice for drop-off, so I had to take a day off work last-minute. They only accept cash or a money order (specifically not a cashier's check) on drop-off, which I find very sketchy. Additionally, the movers left me with an extra box when they delivered my things, which was now few weeks ago. I've asked the company what I should do with it, but after weeks of phone calls and emails the only information I have is that it belongs to a customer in MA. Region asked if I could ship it for them. Sure, I said. But I'm not shipping a 60 lb giant box for free, since it'll cost me up to $200 via FedEx. They have yet to get back to me about compensation, or a name or address. So I know there's at least one other dissatisfied customer out there right now. Tl;dr - Region is completely disorganized, unprofessional, and frankly, scammy.
