We signed up with Renttoday to rent our home. They offered us their cleaning/repair services to get the home in rent ready condition. Although a lot higher than competing bids, we agreed to use their services because they claimed that they had a renter and that by being able to control the repairs they would be able to collect the deposit. We paid them 50% of the agreed upon estimate. After 3 weeks and multiple unmet deadlines to even start the work, I advised them that I was giving them one more day to repair/clean the home or else would be cancelling the agreement. They hurried some workers over for the first time to begin working on the home.
After 2 days they had completed a few minor items only so I cancelled my agreement and requested a refund. When calculating my refund Rentoday deducted cost of a "final cleaning". How can you complete a final cleaning of a home if you still need to paint and perform repairs? We inspected the home and confirmed that the home had not been cleaned. We ended up having to pay another company to clean the home and ended up signing with another property management agency.
DO NOT USE RENTOTDAY AND DO NOT TRUST THEM! They are over-priced, will lie to get you to use their repair/cleaning services, will make you chase them just to get an update, and will end up charging you for items never performed. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND AGGRAVATION AND MOVE ON TO ANOTHER COMPANY!
