That's why he has been in prison for the last couple years, and will be for a long time, for forgery. Want proof? Here you go: http://www.courts.state.va.us/opinions/opncavwp/1671094.pdf
Real nice guy, right?

Let me put it this way, used to work for the guy. Class "A" scumbag. The above story is NOT unique. OP, your suspicions are correct. 'American Literary Agents of Washington' and 'trident media' are the same company. What he does is answer the American Literary Agents of Washington phone in one room and direct the potential customer to go call Trident Media. Then he walks into the NEXT ROOM to wait for the phone to ring. He also owns a courier business in the same office. At least he did when I worked there. Here's a protip: A publisher pays YOU, you don't pay THEM. I have delt with other publishers before and after working with Sam, not once did I have to pay them a dime. Hell, if you want, you can always use the same printing company that he uses. It's called Lightening source. http://www.lightningsource.com/ This may help you out. http://www.publish-yourself.info/node/14 That's how Sam got started, he published his own stuff and figured he can make money by charging people to publish THEIR stuff. But you don't need him. Also, if there was a problem between him and the printer, then that should have been left up to him. He probably screwed up a order or something and wanted you to foot the bill for his screw up. Also, don't buy that whole 'you have to look up the sales of your book yourself mess'. Sam knows EXACTLY how many books he sells because he has to get the books printed and SHIP THEM. Next time you call him, IF you call him, be sure to mention that.

Do not listen to this or whatever this person has to say. This information is false. Sam has been in business for many years and I have always done business with him. The person who is saying things about Sam's company is ludacrous. He has done excellent work on my books that I got published. Don't listen to this crap. His book was probably not written in a good fashion, and was surprised about the comments Sam made. Sam is a great business man, and I will continue to do business with him.
