I have filed 3 claims with this company and they have yet to reimburse me. 

The first was my hot water heater. It took 8 days for them to send someone out to look at it. That is because no plumbing company companIt was in the attic and it was leaking. The element had burned out.  After the plumbing company left and I had not heard from SHW in two days whether or not they are going to replace yet, I callled and they told me that they needed a picture of it. I replied, "Really? Why didnt you ask the plumbers to take a pictur of it the day they were up there? You are now asking a 65 year old lady to go up in the attic?" Even though I sent a picture, they wanted maintence records. It took 3 weeks for them to tell me that my claim was not covered. By this time, I had already bought a water heater. I was very upset with their service and inability to get back with me.

The next two claims were the same. after a toileting leak, I was told they could nt find a plumber to come out to fix it. I had to find my own plimber and then they would reimburse me. Ha! After numerous times of faxing them that I had paid the bill, they said that my issue was not covered. 

My warranty service with them will expire in september. Needless to say, I will not renew it.
