Picking up some emergency funds for my mother via Western Union at the local Kroger, and the store cashier was unable to give anything smaller than a $100 bill. Since there was a Suntrust Bank located in the store, I headed over there to try to make change and was denied. The branch manager said I needed a Suntrust account to make change. This has never happened to me before in my entire life history. No matter what, if I have stopped into a local bank and just needed to break a bill, I have always been allowed that courtesy, regardless if I have an account with them or not. This is precisely why I left Suntrust last year. They do not care about providing any kind of service whatsoever. They follow the practice of outsourcing jobs overseas, and when I called and asked why I was denied a such simple service the employee could not give me an answer. They wanted to put me on hold another 5-10 minutes. No way, enough time wasted. Take a look here and you will see how many others have filed reports and are having such a tough time dealing with Suntrust, a company that genuinely does not care about good service. Never again!
