I fully sympathize with you on EZ Serve treating employees like dog poo. I worked at one of the stores in Fort Walton Beach FL for 10 months back in 1999, and was treated so horribly, you'd cry. I endured everything from being sexually harassed, shorted hours because a manager disliked me, penalized for doing my job, being threatened to be made to stay longer than my usual 8 hours because one manager (Melissa C.) informed me that I could either go pay her cable bill for her or stay on shift for another 2 hours while she did it. Not to mention being told to pay half of someone else's mistake when it was not my fault (I got paid to work, not babysit co-workers). I had to work overnight shifts (which in itself didn't bother me), without another person working (which was considered against store policy, as the stores that had been robbed in the past were required to have 2 employees on shift for the graveyard. I was told to "keep the door locked" and make the best of it. The apparent lack of sympathy from a manager that wanted me to come in anyways, despite the fact that I was sick, vomiting, and running a 102 degree fever, even if it meant "just sitting there" for 8 hours. So, yeah, you've got my sympathy on that.
