Still have the sour taste in my mouth from them. Take them to claims court? Heck I am way more intrested in making thier day with say maybe a drill bit the size of 3/4. How would they like it if they opened a center where on every truck their was a hole in the oil pan trans pan radiator and fuel tank. Hazmat alone could cost 100,000 to clean the parking lot where 50 vehicles are parked. Sometimes they mess with the wrong people and it would have been easier and less costly to fix a problem they caused and refused to make it right (not even a little bit).

I was a top manger...your best bet is small claims... it will work.they wont waste there time by going.. sue the place where you got the truck, and the fremont office.,and the time off and everything else.

read the whole report before you write something else that doesnt make any sense. I have already recieved provisional credit from my bank for the charges. also I did not ask to pick up the truck from an independent dealer I was directed to by MCO. I worked at a uhaul center I know better than to reserve a truck at an independent dealer because I know that they dont have any idea of what they are doing. Last, I rented a "Uhaul" truck not an express rental car truck, uhaul needs to compensate me. Quit trying to pass the buck on someone else, take some responsibility for the dealers that represent your company. Any other comments NOW!!!!

I'm sorry I did not see in your first post where you stated you faxed the info over. Uhaul is not going to refund any money back to you. The reason being they only have one charge for your rental on record because the 2nd was done through the actual business. What you need to do is have your bank stop payment on that. If he does not have a charge slip signed by you in the business name for those charges they should be considered fraud. I would presue the business not Uhaul. Uhaul has nothing to do with his primary business therefore they will not refund the money back or assist you. Your bank should be able to help you out.

not to be rude but i did in fact fax from the bank a professional version of my statement. the fax was made by the the branch manager and included all the information Auth# ect and merchant ID #s. This fax was recieved by Ruth at the office named in the file. My contract only shows one charge because the merchant intered my credit card through his independent business and also into the uhaul online system therefor charging me twice. Derrick at made in japan made in the usa car repair shop in cambell ca.,which is the person who did the transacion will not answer his phone for me nor uhaul MCO. I hold uhaul responsible to credit me back simply because they did not help me in any way shape or form and still continue not to call me. I have phone records which proves all I say is true and the fax docs which show Uhaul has recieved my information. as an ex employee of uhaul I am ashamed to have ever been associated with the company. And I am also angry because of uhauls spineless corporate office that cant or wont take hold of the situation. I have told everyone I know and will continue to tell every new friend I meet to never use uhaul because there is a reason they were cheaper than the others.

As stated in other posts I work for an independent dealer. I have checked your rental contract and only see one charge in the amount of $1,267.32 charged by the dealer you rented from at the time of pick up. It may have been that a hold was put on that amount (which falls off the account within 7 days, this is usually done to verify the funds are there) and then the actual charge was done at the time of pick up. If in fact your were charged twice, you should be able to contact the marketing company office for the area you picked up in and fax them the statement showing the double charge & they should be able to credit it back to your card. Also remember that if they do credit it back to your card that can take up to 10 business days to show. Most banks like to hold that money as long as possible before putting it into your account. I sincerely hope that if you were double charged U-Haul will make good. In our MCO the few times it has happened we have never had an issue with getting a customers over charge taken care of. I hope you can get it taken care of quickly.
