In May 2009 I lost my job. I called Wells Fargo to let them know that I had lost my job and was waiting for my unemployment to start. Unemployment took about 2 months to start. I was now behind 3 months with my house payment. I than went to Gulf Coast Community Services for help with my mortgage.
Gulf Coast Community Services assist me with 2 mortgage payments. Wells Fargo accepted them.
I called Wells Fargo after I got home and spoke to there customer service about the payment and than was told I qualified for a modification and I did not need the assistance from GCCS. I than was set up with three payments beginning the 23rd of October 2009. I ask Wells Fargo where will the money from GCCS be applied. I was told at the end of the mortgage once the modification is approved.

On 10/23/09 I spoke to Wells Fargo who told me to make a payment of 41.00 because a partial payment was just hanging out there and this will make the payment for November since the payment from GCCS will be applied to the end of the mortgage and they had not received the check yet. Before the payment I made in October, I should now been only 1 month behind on my payments
On Oct 23 I became full time employed.

I never received a denial letter from the mitigation department. I went to the wellsfargo.com/assist after speaking to some one who called me from the mitigation department and told me to go to this website.
I have received letters from Wells Fargo stating my house is about to go into foreclosure. I called Wells Fargo and was told to disregard the letters it is in mediation and I will get them. I call when I received collection phone calls and was told that they was automated calls it is still in mediation and will get those calls until it is finish. I trusted Wells Fargo and their input.
I stayed on top of things. I would have never let my house get 6 months behind with out making some sort of communication. I would have call Wells Fargo and work something out before it got this bad. It seems to me that all of this was done intentionally.
On 2/8/2010 I was told by collections supervisor who told me I owe 6 months behind and nothing can be done but pay. I was denied the modification because I could not afford the house. She would not supply me with any additional phone numbers. Every time I ask for a number she state they can not help me. I hung up call back and spoke to another collections person and was told to call customer service to get a breakdown of payments. I had the payments in front of me. I need to know how was they applied.

We sat up 3 more payment arrangements which will automatic be withdrawn from my checking account. Once the first payment is received than it will suspend the foreclosure. I was not satisfied with that because it should not have been in foreclosure from the beginning.
