I am dying. I have less than a year to live. My company has short term disability with Hartford. So I have to use them. The black woman who is my "case manager" as she called it, she is beyond evil, nasty to me, told me I deserve what I got because of the fraud I am trying to commit against Hartford.

I do not understand how having terminal cancer is fraudulent. They cancel my claim every month. My doctors call them, fax them, and send their updates by certified mail. Even though Hartford has signed for the certified mail, they have yet in four months acknowledged receiving any certified mail. We have a laywer looking into this now.

The HR at work is horrified and didn't believe me until my wife and doctor talked to them. They called Hartford, and this black woman said they have proof that my doctor and I are making all this up. In the mean time, Hartford requests updates from my doctor EVERY WEEK and says it must be faxed in. We have proven that we faxed it, we have witnesses (HR and attorney) and Hartford says that we did not fax it. We have signed certified mail and they say we never sent it.

I'm dying, and I am starting to have problems with mobility and pain. I am lucky in that my wife has income so we won't lose our house, but losing half our income has been rough. My wife has to work and cannot take time off to spend with me.

This black woman -- God have mercy on her soul, if they are actually born with souls. I am putting this in the category Organized Crime because that is what The Hartford is, they are completely evil and I would not be surprised if the black woman "case manager" is demon possessed.

You are truly a jerk. Hartford has nothing to lose by denying his claim.  There is no penality if they say "no".  The worst thing that can happen is they may have to pay it later if sued.  Insurance companies act and react in their own self interests.  They don't care who lives or dies, they are interested in P&L and that is their sole motive in claims.

This man is probably gone now.   You appear to be a somewhat intelligent "Black Man", so I am certain you have heard the words, "Dieing declaration".  A Dieing declaration are words admissible in court as the truth OVER ANYONE ELSE. I am certain that if there was a fraud on his case the police would had been notified by the "black woman".

I am having problems with Hartfort as well and I am doing research on this company.  That company is a pack of liars and I had a "Black Woman" working on my case as well, but I filed a complaint with the state and had her removed.  You are also familar with the word "demographic"? That dieing man identified a demographic "black woman" the same as I did, not as a word of hate. I truly don't care what color she is.

I know this will be a far reach for you, but show some respect for the fead and dieing.

You pompous pretentious d bag from "weslaco", WHO CARES IF HE MISSED SPELLED DIEING.

I too am sorry to hear you are sick and having problems with Hartford. Hartford used to be a good company. They recently sold to another company but still using the Hartford name. My sister works in insurance and she says the new owners of Hartford are horrible and she doesn't look forward to doing business with them. She had done business with them for over 30 years and now she avoids using their coverage for her clients. Let your attorney handle Hartford. Let them know that their new business practices are not going to keep them in business very long. Good luck, take care.

Shawn, as much as I can somewhat sympathize with your complaint, I am having trouble trying to se through the racist stereo-typing with your report. The District Attorney's office in Houston, Texas is full to capacity with case files of fraudulent claims which result in criminal filings by the Texas courts. In the very first sentence, plus in the fourth paragraph, you claim you are dying. Yet, as a result of the denial for disability insurance, you further express your anger by repeatedly labeling an assigned case manager of Hartford as the "black woman." Since when has racism been a significant factor in your complaint? Are you angry because you were denied disability, or simply because you were caught trying to scam the system by a female minority? Executive decisions with fraudulent disability denial is not grounds for you to pass judgement on a person's skin color or gender, just because of a result in her ability to successfully and thoroughly investigate your criminal intent which was uncovered. You claim you are upset because of the Hartford's decision to deny your disability claim. That's not the reason. I feel you are racist Sir, plain and simple. I thought those dark days were behind us now and are just a memory of America's morbid history. It took a "black woman" to reveal, or in this case, deny and accuse you of criminal wrongdoing, just the same way it's taking a person of color to lead this country to greatness after the mess President Bush left us in. But getting back to your complaint for a second, you failed to point out the real truth about your alleged disability which Hartford possibly uncovered while investigating this fraudulent act. What you omitted to tell us is that they probably investigated a claim from you where you failed to divulge here on this forum, which obviously, was based on their meticulous, educated findings and made them arrive at this decision. There are two sides to every story and I'm sure Hartford has theirs. Hartford, like many insurance companies or life insurance companies are inundated with hundreds of thousands of medical claims where people say they're dying and have only a week to live, thereby trying to get as much in disability payments as the law would allow. Well, I, as a tax payer say enough is enough. There are too many fraudulent claims out there, not just statewide, but nationwide also. If you're supposedly "dying," then how come you still have enough strength to sit at your computer and post a report, instead of appealing your denial to the next level by appealing the companies decision through attorney's filings? I'm sorry sir, but you need to plead your sympathy case elsewhere, as there are too many educated readers who are aware of these scams. Sincerely, Stanley.

It is a very painful disease and I wish that there was a cure for it. Unfortunately, there is very little chance of a cure ever being found and especially not in time to save you. I think that you should work on taking care of all of your final arrangements right now. I think that you should make sure that you do everything that you always wanted to do that you can still do. i.e. have sex with a high school student. Ooh maybe a cheerleader! OH, DONT DIE without going to the Philippines! Have yourself a BALL! Well anyways, I think that you should do everything that you want to do and then go ahead and buy a pistol from your local gun store. Get a nice big round that is easy to fire, like .40 S&W. Get some silver tipped hollowpoints or cor-bon rounds. Then go into the office of Hartford insurance and look for this north american ground ape that is causing you and your family difficulty and do the right thing.
