Werner Enterprises Another company blowing smoke Omaha Nebraska
Shame Shame Shame that's all I can say about this company. I have been an OTR driver for 4 years and I have never been treated this shoddy by any company.
I have been with them for about a month and have sat more than I ran. The dispatchers give wrong numbers then turn around and ask you what number do you have for them, like I know the people personally.
Thank God for my GPS in my truck otherwise I would have been all messed up. I don't understand for such a huge company, when will the dispatchers realize that if we are sent down a wrong road, lets say in Nh or anywhere up north for that matter, it's not easy to turn a 53' foot truck around. Personally I think dispatchers should have at least a year over the road driving experience to be hired. But hey what do I know, I'm just a truck driver.
And I know that you guys have heard this kinda crap before but to be honest WE are the ones who are responsible, because regardless of the continuous gripes about this company we still go there for employment and allow them to get away with it. We have more power than we know and if there are no drivers, dispatchers have no jobs.
It continues to amaze me how the dispatchers talk to their drivers. Case in point, one called my house today asking me, in a very rude manner, when I am coming back to work, seeing as I was on the road for a month and I took my 4 days off. I told him to (expletive) and don't call my house no more. I have another job already so I am not worried about him or the company for that matter. As i mentioned before I do have 4 years of clean safe driving on my record.
But the new drivers, please don't be discouraged Werner Enterprises is not the only company out there for student drivers, but sadly a lot of the big companies have their B.S. too.
On a final note. I personally have nothing against Mr C.L Werner and his company. It's a very impressive outfit considering what he made it from. I have a problem with the people running it and it makes me wonder does he really know what goes on.
